Galvin has officially joined the Bulldogs on a three-and-a-half-year deal after he was granted an immediate release from the Tigers.
Having left with the clear rationale that he did not want to continue under Benji Marshall’s coaching at the Tigers, 19-year-old Galvin said of Ciraldo in a Bulldogs website interview: “I just think he is a real leader.
“I think he is driving standards here that are pretty cool and something that I obviously want to be a part of.
“So getting to know him more and more as the season goes on and the next three years that I’m here is going to be pretty cool.
“I can’t wait to be having conversations in his office, hopefully good ones. I can’t wait.”

In April, Galvin made a bombshell decision to call it quits with the Tigers after refusing to entertain a $5 million extension of his contract.
The decision led to friction with high-profile teammates such as Jarome Luai, who took to social media with a “team first” post heavily pointed in Galvin’s decision.
Asked what he admired about his new team, Galvin said: “Just how much grit they show.
“They are always here for each other, all the boys have each other’s backs … I just want to keep working hard, getting in here and learning all their systems.”
The Tigers have been left licking their wounds after slumping to three-straight wooden spoons, in stark contrast the Bulldogs have transformed into likely title contenders under the direction of Ciraldo.
“Watching and seeing the path that the Bulldogs are on at the moment and how they are going week in and week out, I think has really drawn me to the club,” said Galvin who may debut for the Dogs in Monday’s King’s Birthday clash against Parramatta – the club he almost joined.
“Hopefully I get to play in that game and make my debut.
“It will be awesome to run out in front of all the Doggies fans…they turn out. They love it.”
“If we keep playing well, they are going to turn out.”
